Quick question re: front license plate on GT3
Quick question re: front license plate on GT3
Sorry, dumb question...
I've been looking at pre-owned 997GT3s and noticed that the two that I've seen in person have "pilot holes" in the front bumper for the license plate frame. The holes don't appear to be drilled through the plastic, but look more like "detents" which one would use as a guide for drilling. Not sure if these cars had the holes plugged or what? Can someone tell me if this is normal on the GT3?
I had a 997S (not GT3) and did not have this - my front bumper was smooth. No holes, guide marks whatsoever.
TIA

I have a 997 C4S with the factory aerokit, which is pretty much the GT3 front bumper. I noticed that is also has these two detents, or pilot holes.
Close inspection reveals perfect paint and that no screw was ever in there.
I ahd been wondering about that for a while too. Good to hear that itt's normal.
