How many H/C are you getting out your tires?

I see very different numbers for this in different threads, I have limited very limited experience (only about 12 track days) that's nothing in compare to most others.
I feel that after 16-18 heat cycles my tires start loosing significant amounts of grip, what is the opinnion of the more experienced guys?
I see people talking about H/C for a set of tires as high as 40 or 80???
I my case after 16-18 cycles or 4 track days my tires have loose 60-70% of tread grooves, but more important I sees a big decline in tire grip (19's MSPC and Corsas in my case so far), I'm about to buy my four set, maybe I'm trowing away my money!!!

What are in your experience the typical H/C numbers for different tires: MPSC, Pirelli Corsa's, Toyo's and othes?

thanks,

If you use Tire warmers in between sessions, you can keep it to only ONE heat cycle per day in stead of 4-5, which will make your tires last until Tread it GONE. Greatly improving the Cost/Wear index.

Thanks for the tip Hardracing, but for the average track day guy at DE events this seems to me difficult to accomplish, I believe this will require some sort of equipment to raise the car from the floor betwen sessions, some personel assistance...

In perfect world, all 4 tires should be off ground to completely wrap them.
But, to be honest... we just take them and wrap 90% and lay the extra flap that would normally be underneath against the ground.
As long as you have almost all the tire covered they will stay warm, specially if you have them maintaining around 140ish ^
We have been doing that for a couple of years.
Takes about 5 min to put them on, and about 2 min. to pull them off.

And EVERYONE comes up to ask about them.

WOW.. Cool... what are those for.

Are you getting even tread wear or is the inner or outer part of the tire getting more worn down?

When a car is properly setup it should be getting even wear.

Also good to check temp. with probe type Pyrometer Immediately after hot laps, that give you a idea on what's going on with your tires.

Check Outer, Middle and Inner of all 4 tires.
