Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tread life?

I just got a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cups for my C4S. (Acutally these are the new PS Cup + tires)

Anyone else here run Cups on the street? I think the GT2 and GT3 come OEM with PS Cups?

I'm curious to know what kind of treadlife you are getting. There's not alot of depth before you hit the wear bars on these puppies. The tread must be half as deep as the PS2 tread.

Saw you at Summit a few weekends ago... our Project 997.2 has them as well as our 987.2 and our experience in the past is ~6-7k street miles... keep in mind we use the N Spec tires.

With the GT3 I got less than 5,000 street miles on my first set of rear Cups, around 6,000 for the front. I'm running an "agressive street" alignment which wears the inside shoulder of the rear tires pretty quickly however. You might do better, but not a lot.

If they are N spec MPSC then the life can be fairly good on the street, 5-7K+. I've been running them for almost a year and they are on the wear bars now. No problem in the rain at all. Remmber these are the OEM street tire, I suspect the compound is completely different from traditional cups.

Very happy driving. Here we don't have streets, just roads and none of which are straight or without elevation change! The alignment is golden since I have had Tony at TCdesigns taking care of it. I hate to see what happens to my average after james and Alex do the 3.9, which will be sometime soon.

The Michelin PS Cups came on my GT3 and the Pirelli PZero Corsa came on my GT3RS.
I quickly realize which was a superior tire, the Pirelli Corsa.
As others have said, in the rain the Michelin cups are downright dangerous. Like bars of soap. If you have a trackday and happens to rain with the Michelins you park it. The Pirelli's work in the rain and on dry pavement IMO you give up nothing to the Michelin cups.
As a matter of fact the Pirelli's come up to running temps faster than the Michelin's.
Finally regarding treadwear, the Pirelli's last longer.

Sorry, my 2 cents.

Glad to hear Ranger. Especially since there is a chance I may get Corsa's on my 2010 coming in November.
