Didn't someone already say a bumper repair job on a CGT requires the car to be shipped back to germany and production line has to be stopped for a few hours inorder to fix it? ~125k deal. Hope his insurance is paying for it.

Then again maybe he's putting Techarts on

No, it turns out the shipped to Germany and production line stoppage story was BS. The car was repaired for appx $130k right here in San Diego by West Coast Specialities.

It doesn't really look like it was in an accident. At least nothing hard. No airbags destroying the windshield. Not a scratch on the hood. From the pic it looks like they could just be repairing parking lot damage or highway rock chip damage.

I don't think that is true. The CGT's front and rear bumpers are urethane, just like the regular cars.

Also, the stuff about having to send the car back to P is BS. All P dealers that sell a CGT have a tech trained in removing body panels. If a car is involved in an accident, P specialists will fly out and run tests on the CF tub to test it for any weakness. That is what the manager at my P dealer told me. In addition, P will certify designated repair shops for working with CF panels.
