Which GT3?
you could do it yourself, save the money, it is not hard.....
Looks like you already had a red 997TT, if your avatar is any indication. Most people wouldn't notice if you changed cars since, lets face it, Porsches look alike to the average (non-car) person. I trip out how people still ask me if I have a Cayman when my car has "GT3" on the ***.
I'd go for white or grey. I love 997.1 GT3's in white (mine is
), but you don't see too many grey ones about.

All--many, many thanks for your input. It's helped greatly.
Seems as if overnight gained some legs. I feel like I'm in who wants to be a millionaire and i use a 50/50 lifeline and the 2 questions that I narrowed it down to remained

I'm going to go lighter I think, I'm not sure how much it cost to remove it, but I have a hookup so I'm hoping it wont be to much.
I swapped out my TT for a GT3 with some seriously dark tint. Dealer took it off for free. Sounds like a non-issue.
Color choice is personal. If you're only going to put a few thousand miles on the car and sell it, the silver is probably out. It's almost a full years worth of mileage.
Mine's white. Although I'm not much of a white car fan (also have a white 5 series and feel like my wife should be driving it), it looks perfect for this car. Never saw a red in person, so tough to comment.
Good luck.

Ahhh...white just took the lead

I've read all about the adaptive seats debate. It's probably the most desired feature on the red that's not on the white. Yes, I do agree red is more rare, and I do love red -- my prior turbo was (as in my avatar). Never had a white car, and I do love it on the GT3. However, seems as if 70% of the GT3's available for sale are white. May be hard to differentiate a white one in 1-2 years especially if the options are modest.

Morning bump. Looks as if I'll pull the trigger by around 1pm EDT today.
What if I were to say that for an extra $1K, I could get the white one CPO'd? So although the white one just has Xenons, Enhanced Sound, Thicker Steering Wheel, and an OEM XM unit (from Cayanne -- meaning it looks as if it has Nav, but just the XM works), would that sway anyone?
I do appreciate all the feedback. This is especially helpful since I will be selling this car in 1-2 years so what I learn from this thread is quite valuable in estimating my relative abilty to sell the car.
Many thanks.

Bravo!! You will still need the LWF and SW by-pass to really feel the essence of the car!!
Well bought IMHO.
HOLD THE PRESS!!!
I had not yet signed the final paperwork because I was waiting on the service history. Turns out this car has MAJOR warranty claims:
2 rear main seal replacements, April and June of 2009!!!
Sept 30 2009 -- warranty claim for a loose engine!!
There's more.
Stay away from the white GT3 at Porsche of the Village.

I hope this helps someone save their butt on making a big, big mistake.
Back to the drawing board for me.
