Fabspeed Exhaust
After looking at the dyno numbers for the Fabspeed mufflers, standard disclamer, ( www.fabspeed.com ) and the cat bypass pipes, these things have to be the bargain of the century. Based on their numbers, real, useable horsepower and torque gains are being produced. I can't imagine the mega-buck european systems could do any better. My feeling is they probablly don't do as well. Aside from the power issues there's the weight consideration. I guessing 40 to 50 lbs of weight savings with the Fabspeed. That alone would be worth the cost of admission. I have a set of their mufflers, make the GT3 sound like a GT3 should. I am seriously looking to go to the cat bypass as well. Especially if the quality of construction is as good as the mufflers.

FWIW, I have used Fab-stuff for years on my 993 RS cars. I just bought the muffler bypasses for my new GT3 RS project-- haven't put them on yet, but I'm happy to be losing 50+ lbs. to offset some of the weight of the rollcage.
Ultimately, I may go with light Fabspeed sport mufflers and cat bypasses for the track-- gonna test both setups in the real world and will report. B-Stock racer Rafael Llopiz is using some variant of the above, I am told, and he's impossible to catch unless you put a rotating red-light beacon on top of your race car and make him think your're state trooper. (On second thought, knowing Rafael, that wouldn't work, either... )

In my opinion, the best thing about Fabspeed products is the weight reduction. For a GT3, this is one of only a handful of weight reduction mods we can make. (Euro seats being the only other viable one.)
How does the Fabspeed sound at low RPMs? I found that, on my turbo, the resonance was so harsh that I couldn't stand it after a month. In a racecar, it would have been a nonissue as I'd never be driving at 2-2.5K RPM...
But in a street car, it was torture.
Also, the sound at higher RPMs was the best TT exhaust I've ever heard. But, it was so loud that I set off car alarms idling through a parking lot.
Bottom line, for a racecar, it would have been my exhaust of choice. But, for a street car, it was not something that I could live with. Maybe if I was 20 years younger...

I'm also set up to try out the Cargraphics system, with headers and cats, on the dyno soon. Will report back the results.
I love the sound of my Europipe. Will by dynoing it as well.
The higher HP unit will be kept, assuming of course that the sound is acceptable for a street driven car.

That's a dyno result i will look forward to, it will be interesting to see what rwhp they add.
You would think that the Cargraphic system would add more HP considering it has a few extras.

Fabspeed has posted comprehensive DYNO results on all of our performance parts for the GT3 cars. WE have also posted VIDEO sound bites of Fabspeed CUP style Muffler bypass pipes that make any GT3 or 996 sound like a factory Porsche Supercup car.
Yes its very agressive but saving 50+lbs and loudness is waht some people want. Besides SWAPPING on 996 & GT3 mufflers is a 20 minute simple procedure.
Fabspeed Motorsports Maxflo mufflers on the GT3 are posted as well.
Everything is heavy Duty T 304L stainless steel MIRROR POLISHED SHOW CAR SHINE!

There are solid Torque and horsepower gains as you can see all measured on the ULTRA accurate DYNA PACK.
For racers and hardcore street enthusiasts........the GT3 made the most power and significant torque by "eliminating the catalytic converters and runnin' cat bypass pipes" with our Fabspeed Maxflo mufflers. Significant Torque gains all across the board from Low RPM to 8000.
The Fabspeed Motorsport sponsored and race prepared 2004 GT3 will be going to virtually all the CLUB races in 2005 that are on the EAST COAST and MidWest. It won each and evrytime it raced last year.........BONE stock with just our CUP Muffler bypass pipes. NOW with our complete package.........there will be some grumbling and angry people in the paddocks.

Joe: thanks for the bypass pipes you sent me, it came on time, a day before it was installed and I really love it, it sounds loud like I wanted it to be
I have not got the chance to dyno it but I am very happy with it. It took longer than 30mins to install it though, pretty hard to remove the old pipes because it got stuck
