Very Interesting Porsche Factory Race Car For Sale on Ebay..

Wow, that thing is so UGLY and the surrounding stuff in the pictures is just as ugly as the car, .

For 700 grand, I would take a 959 and CGT..

Now look at the size of that single turbo, that is what I call turbo lag to bring the car to have a date with a wall.

I don't know how much of a Porsche historian you are, but cars like this have significant collectible value if restored and maintained properly.

Most modern Porsche guys unfortunately don't appreciate how legendary these cars were.

I understand what you mean by those "special barnyard" old-school racing Porsche finds which can be pure history, but Sorry, this car and the for sale ad clearly seems like a scam.

wow, this thread is the perfect example of the blind leading the blind. to anybody but the uninformed, this car looks to be real, legit material, but obviously a much deeper investigation need be granted before dishing out that kind of coin. i don't keep up with the EXACT current market prices of these cars (especially if they are real, barn finds that were factory works cars from the past, b/c, honestly, how many are really still out there?!!?), BUT i know that if said vehicle IS documented with the history that is posted in this auction, then this car is worth ALOT of money. again, i'm not sure how far off he is, if any, but alfromcalabasas needs to check his/her facts before getting so giddy on the keyboard again. if real, which this car really appears to be, there is significant historical significance to a car like this, especially in what appears to be an original condition. wow, can you say "barn find"? not to knock anybody else who have posted on how "ugly" this car is, but if you know your porsche racing history you would see this car for all of the production racing loop holes it got away with in it's day by reading loop holes into the rules books to make a production 911 into a dominating race leader and dominator of it's day.
time to take a history lesson, son. it's not all about 26's, blacked out tail lights and SUV's anymore, and most of us wish it never was! lol. all good. we were all young once! please keep the old race car posts coming, although possibly without the unnecessary uninformative text next time. ;-)

Chill out man, the car is still ugly no matter how much of a classic it is. The front is decent, but the rear is aweful. Some of us don't care about looking at cars that won X races 40 years ago. To each his own. Just an opinion board.

Pics of said black SUV with 26's.

It is ugly as sin, but the cool bits are certainly there...flat fan, kugelfisher injection pump, dial-a-bomb adustable boost **** on dash...I bet you would have to stab it prior to apex to accelerate out of the turns accounting for the massive lag. That turbo looks like a pumpkin!
