Show me your stripped out gt3's
First of all, I have only had my Nasa racing liscense for a little under two years so I am not the best of drivers nor do i profess to be.
I have however been fortunate enough to have several cars during that short time, including 996 and 997 Ex Koni cars, a 996 cup car and a 997 GT3RS.
Recently, I was lucky enough to have purchased Carmine and I have it out on the track twice.
The first outing was a shake down on a used set of slicks and I was able to get a time that is within hundreths of a second from our clubs track record for the class!!
I am not saying this to brag, merely to point out that the car being lighter, having more horsepower, better brakes and lots more rubber on the road than a cup car had everything to do with it.
Another interesting fact is we had Darren Law on the track with us and he really, really, really liked the car and look what he gets to drive on a regular basis.
If you ever want to be humbled, have him drive your car, with you in it and beat your time by three seconds

Garret, thank you again for having the intestinal fortitude to build this piece of art, and thanks to Loren Beggs for having the skill to build it.

You are a lucky guy! Carmine is a beast and one of a kind. I wanted to buy it but was not ready to pull the trigger.
As far as this discussion goes let's all agree it's not cheap any way you slice it. Racing is not cheap and the best thing I did was to stop adding the receipts up after a season of racing.
