to answer your question, I need to find a crystal ball that is more accurate than the one I currently have...

What's the 4.0L engine is the new GT3 R? Possible it will be the engine for the next GT3/RS?

It is said the the GT1 motor/block (real dry sump motor), which has been used for YEARS in the GT3s and Turbos (not sure about the Carreras) cannot be easily be mated with the PDK trans. The new turbo ditched the GT1 block and now has an new A91 block (intergrated Dry Sump motor which really means it is a Wet Sump motor). The A91 block was desgned with PDK compatibility in mind., and therefore shorter, I believe.

For the average driver it may be a bit quicker on each lap by a few 10ths. But for me fun factor is more important that a few 10ths...so I'm quite happy rowing through the gears the old fashion way, trying to perfect my downshifts.

I have the answer to this....
Since I receive every car magazine and read everything online...
I can tell you what the latest issue of Car and Driver says.
Start with Page 26 of January's issue Car and Driver.
It is all about the new direction of Porsche under VW's guise.
Refer to the "911" section and you will find that they are going to implement
new technologies faster as the main plan for the iconic 911.
As far as the GT3 and GT2 they will be getting ultralight fiber optic electrical architecture to shed pounds from the cars wiring harness. (I never knew the wiring harness would be that heavy, but anyway).
It also states that the sport versions (GT2 and GT3) will receive a "RACE derived sequential gearbox!!!!"
That could be fairly badass.
You should all read that article, it talks to much about the future of Porsche.
Hope that helps.
