Glad you like it thanks! Hmm if you want it louder (and it will be... gulp)...

There's always the track set up:

at full song, i wouldnt want it any louder. sometimes i wish i got the full song sound at lower revs but im sure that would get old in everyday situations. over all, i think its a good compromise for the street.

the weight savings and simplicity of the track exhaust sure is tempting. especially since mikeawd posted that it was very livable

Here is a picture.....just unplug this and you will have a new found love for the Sharkwerks exhaust.

Do not unplug the vale without the Sharkwerks exhaust, the car has a terrible drone at 2500-3000 rpm.

At idle your valve are open.

Once you increase the rev the valves close making the car quiet.

The valves open back up at a higher rev (it is a different point depending if sport is on or not).

With the valves unplugged they are open all the time

Mikymu (ze 6speed GT3 doctor) actually wrote up a useful guide that basically explains what that stuff does. We have super-strict sound restrictions at one of the local tracks so:

And for those that haven't heard/seen the video here she is:

Yeah right, I've hear that before! Glad you you are enjoying the GT3, I have been behind a 997GT3 RS with the Sharkwerks bypass and it sounds amazing! Enjoy.

thanks sharky and mikymu for that informative post.

Ed, i hope you get yours soon these are amazing cars.

i unplugged the exhaust today and drove around for about an hour. wasnt sure the first 5 minutes but the sound got better and better.

what i dont like is that the car sounds a little less sophisticated in the lower revs with the flaps constantly open.

what i do like about it is that the sweet sounds are closer at hand so you dont have to wait for the flap opening event and i dont have to kick into sport mode every time.

what i like outweighs what i dont like so will keep in this mode probably most of the time.

going to sign up for the next de at msr. should be fun
