04 GT3 brakes..suggestions

I am about to purchase a 04 GT3 and need to replace the rear discs. I will be driving mostly on the street with an occasional track day..hopefully. I hear that you can use 07 GT3 and GT3 RS discs but was wondering what would be the most economical way to go, stock, aftermarket? Thanks for your help.

The stockers do work so well... if you do end up going 2 piece and slotted you can always use these as well:

I use GiroDisc slot rotors, and I'm more that happy

+1 on Stock Rears.
Fronts there are many options and opinions:
Stock-Expensive
Cup-Cheaper than Stock, but a bit more cumbersome to acquire
Deman-Track guy like them and say they last.
Giro Disc-Lots of positive reviews

Some of my local guys have started using a frozen and slotted front $350ea. Which has been a reliable street and track performance option.

+1 on Girodiscs with a set of Pagid pads front and back - very happy with my set up - speak to Alex at Sharkwerks - he will set you up.

Stock works well. I have no issues with them at the track.

Thanks guys for all of your imput but here's a new question. Will the stock 996-997GT3 rotors work on PCCB calipers, my car had PCCB and was converted over to steel discs, not sure if there was a difference in the calipers or just painted yellow.
