Smile Leather inner door sill guards and my options list for June

See my options list a few posts down..any opinions valued.....

Hi Guys,

Just speccing my GT3II and I'm going for it with the options, as I just love lots of that sort of non sense as this will be my last Porsche (eight previously) and will be a keeper, not for resale.

One Porsche gent has advised (see below) me about the option XTG-Leather inner door sill guards with red deviated stitching as follows:

" Clearly you have aimed to get every surface in the interior covered in
either leather or Alcantara. The only part that I would like to give you a
little more information on would be the leather inner door sill guards
(XTG). If they are used heavily they can 'scuff' a little. Obviously the
alternative is black plastic but I just wanted to make you aware of it. "

Has anybody had these leather sills in any of their cars and do they wear badly?

Any comments or past experience?

Thanks in advance

They look great, add a finishing touch and I doubt that wear would be an issue.

Another options would be to get a set in carbon from MACarbon.

I've got them, they're beautiful. You need to swing your legs over them though as they do scuff a bit. That said they hold up pretty well.

On a private road/track somewhere with me next to him for a mile or two!

Got to be 17yrs old in UK to drive but there would also be insurance issues as well.

He's lined up an old VW beetle as his first ride!! Really back to the beginning !
