Dealer Diagnostic ECU data
Dealer Diagnostic ECU data
I've searched and can't find anything. I've had the dealer pull the ECU diagnostics on a GT3 i'm looking at. There are 6 different "max RPM" ranges that all show zero. Anyone know the breakdown of each of these ranges? Thank you.
Range 1: 9000-9200 RPM
Range 2: 9200-9400 RPM
Range 3: 9400-9600 RPM
Range 4: 9600-10000 RPM
Range 5: 10000-11000 RPM
Range 6: 11000 and up RPM
DME produces the # of ignitions in the ranges, not the revolutions in the ranges
There are 3 ignitions per revolution on a 4 stroke 6 cylinder engine
9000rpms (revs per minute) = 150rps (revs per second)
Since DME records ignitions, then 150 x 3 = 450 "units"
So, using broad approximations, every 450 "units" the DME prints out equates to the engine spending 1 second at this RPM range
It is NOT surprising most gt3s have no data as 9000rpms (range 1) is significantly above where throttle cut would occur
Range 2: 9200-9400 RPM
Range 3: 9400-9600 RPM
Range 4: 9600-10000 RPM
Range 5: 10000-11000 RPM
Range 6: 11000 and up RPM
