Brake Flush Question

I need to replace the factory fluid with SRF and have a question.

In the past when doing this I've had a significant color difference between the fluids I was flushing. With the OEM and SRF they're very close in color to each other. How do you guys know when you've flushed all the old stuff out and have all new fluid through out the system?

I put about 250ml through each corner of the brake system, you should flush through to the new fluid.

Yikes! That's a litre of SRF @ $$$$ per quart.

Oh well, gotta pay to play

You could also bleed your entire system and then refill it with with SRF, that way you won't be wasting any of it.

Do you run any more risk in having air pockets doing it this way, or is it as effective as pushing the old out with the new?

I haven't tried it, but you might end up saving some of the SRF. Are you using a power bleeder?
