Wide body a GT3

Has anyone put on the Gt3RS rear fenders/ bumper etc. on a regular GT3?
Is there anything else then the obvious as the fenders, bumper and possibly taillights that are different and needs to be replaced?

Word,

Why spend so much money on something only you are really going to notice. At dealership, with the two cars side by side, you can see the difference. On the street, seeing the mm's of difference is hard.

You would need a lot of parts to make it a proper RS (axles, etc). You'll never notice the difference if you try it yourself and will waste a lot of money and value on the car.

The simplest upgrade would be to swap for an RS.

even when they are side by side most people still can't notice.... a narrow body GT3 setup correctly wont be any worse then a RS body setup correctly.

Well I can instantly tell the difference between the narrow body and wide body GT3 by looking at the lack of rockers on the narrow body. I just going on memory for approximate parts pricing. As far as a conversion you would be looking at buying RT and LT quarters $3500, RT and LT inner quarters $1000, RT and LT metal rockers $500, RT and LT black plastic rockers $350, RT and LT bumper supports $1000(absolutely crazy I know but you have to have them, and a rear bumper $1500. Cost of parts around $8000. Cost of labor would be somewhere around $10000 probably with paint, and each quarter taking 25 hours book time to replace. So figure on $20,000 conversion price, plus devaluation of your car. Definately a better choice to trade your GT3 in on a GT3 RS. And at this point have a better long term investment with an authentic RS.

i totally agree with joeacc. unless your gt3 has been in a rear end collision requiring new quarter panels and bumper, i wouldnt waste the money. just buy a RS instead. on side note, you can simply just put a RS tail on the GT3 and it almost looks like a gt3. alot of us have done exactly that

Thanks a lot Joe for your information.
I would not have to worry that much about the labor as I do a lot of work myself and yes it would be on a ligthly rear crashed car also so resell value etc would already be hurt on that particular car anyway.

Oh well in those cases, everything is diiferent. If you can do some of the labor and it is already damaged, then by all means go for it. You can get a replica RS engine lid and carbon fiber wing also for a couple of thousand too.
