Who just watched the Rolex Series?

Well, if you did you know that it was at VIR and the GT series was won by a Porsche GT3. I was planning on going there to watch it in person but some things came up and I had to watch it on the Speed Channel at home. I as was saying I am very happy that a GT3 won it and earlier in the race when an ///M3 tried to pass it went off into the grass.

it was an M6 and im happy to see a porsche in the winner's circle again, although the mazda's dominated the majority of the GT field when the race was caution free for the 1st hr and a half

They gave Porsche some allowances after Kevin Buckler and TRG sat out the last round in "protest" of their lack of ability to compete on even terms with the Mazdas and v8 powered cars. It's supposed to make the car more competitive and looks like it may have helped. They let them go up to 3.8l, drop 50lbs of weight, use a more free flowing intake, and run wider body work, among other things.

Yes, Porsche's reputation precedes it. I guess folks still remember the dominating 917s, 935s, 956s, etc., etc. Don't give them any sort of advantage.
