So after seeing how bland my ride looks next to a new RS at the dealer yesterday (gray/red looks phenomenal), I was pondering throwing dashing some exterior yellow onto the old black/black. I was thinking about wrapping the top of the side mirrors yellow and getting carbon bottoms from MACarbon, doing a carbon front hood smile, and either doing the wing blade in yellow wrap or having the paint stripped to show the carbon. Also I'd like to do some black rims w/ a yellow pinstripe, either the stockers or some aftermarkets. Opinions or suggestions? Thanks!

 

Personally, I like the stealth semi-stock look, so for me, the stickers and red contrast looks garish.

The GT3-RS conversion that Sharkwerks did on a grey/red model looked significantly better than stock.

 

I had the blade on my car wrapped as well as pinstripe on the wheels and quickly got bored of it and pulled it off. The carbon fiber exposed may look nice and add a subtle touch though.

 

I thikn yellow would be too much... If I were you I would add contrast but in a more subtle color. How about satin silver finish on the mirrors and a silver stripe on the side?

I have a picture of a 997.1 GT3 RS in black with silver accents. It looked amazing! I will upload it when I get home tonight...

I really like this look. I think w/ some ADV1s in black w/ a yellow pinstripe, the side mirror unders in yellow, yellow seat belts and roll cage, that may be enough.

 

Go for it. The ADV1s look KILLER!! Do't do the wing in yellow or any stripes. Only cage and seatbelts (pinstripe of course, to match the pccbs)

 

if you are asking for opinions, my suggestion would be to leave it the way it is...i have always favored the look of a stealthy ride over anything flashy or boy-racer. you'r car looks fantastic and perfect the way it is, please don't mess with it!

 

IMHO......................I second that, don't mess with it...............

 

+1 on CF front vent "smile" and exposed blade...subtle but a cool detail when viewed up close! Then again, I'm partial to carbon

The pics you showed of the yellow bottom mirror halves and pinstripe aren't bad though... do both, mild yellow accents AND carbon bits!
