If Porsche can make this sound so sweet why don't they bother to make some of their other productions sound better ?

First and foremost, with the V10 in the CGT it doesn't take much to get an amazing sound. In fact, put some straight pipes on the CGT and it is hands down the best sounding car IMHO. F1 status!

As far as the other Porsche engines go, I'm sure most people here will agree that they sound fantastic above 3,500 rpm. The lower rev range doesn't sound too atractive on most flat six engines. Look at the Subaru engines and they way they sound with headers ---> I'd rathe have the P-Car sound than that...

The wood shift **** is there as a celebration of the 917s that won Le Mans five (or six?) times in a row around 1970, that had the same to better insulate driver's hands from heat coming the transmission.

Again, do you mind sending me the VIN so I can add to the data base? My buddy Andy has accounted for just about every U.S. car.

The CGT is, you'll find, an amazing car to drive, but you have to respect it.

awesome car good luck. there is a yellow one at a dealer here in town if someone is looking. I'm pretty sure they want a lot for it as I believe that they have had it for quite a while
