Quote: Gossett Porsche in Memphis has a GT2 2008 model black on black lots of carbon on inside only has 300 miles on it. Perfect. Give David Graham a call @ 1-901-428-4911
Thanks for the heads up. Worth looking at I guess. White is more my thing, but if the price is right, maybe so.

Quote: So let me get this straight. You gave a dealer $100K as a deposit?
You sir are "the man". God bless you. You got to have it to tie up 100K and not care that it's not working for you.
Best of luck with the allocation/acquisition of the GT2RS.
You da man!

btw I agree with the input of a 997.1 GT2 and modding to the moon. Just saw yesterday the video of EVOMS latest TT upgrade putting down > 1200 awhp.

I figured the only way the dealer would take me seriously (even thou I have gotten three cars from them in the past) was to write a check for 100k and bring a letter from my bank that I was good for the rest. I was thinking this may help the dealer with the factory rep in getting the needed allocation.

As for the money not working, this is extra play money. Hell, I would sell my GT3 anyway to take up some of the slack.

Like I said before, if I was offered a 2011 GT3RS to spec out to my choosing at MSRP I would do it.

There only about 50 dealers with open buildable allocations right now.Not real difficult to find one.

Here in SoCal there are a bunch on lots selling at MSRP. I would think a build-out would be at MSRP as well.

Was talking with David today about Turbo Cayenne I have on order for my wife. The GT2 is a 2008 with 367 actual miles Black with red stitching on interior. If I remember correct. Full Carbon with Carbon console.

He is asking 159K. Give him a call if interested. I have Turbo S Cab. On order if it wasn't for the desire to have a Cab. And the fact that my Fat A$$ can't fit in the racing seats. I would be driving it home today.

You could have car tuned and repaint still have 100 k left over. FWIW you could order the new GT2 RS drive this for a year and not get hurt to bad.

Maybe I need to go on diet do like wife does on clothes buy car that I. Can't fit to give me a reason to get serious about weight and health.

Just want to let you know

but he likes new not preowned. But i am with you on that.

Quote: If you don't get it, just pick up a lightly used GT2, you could turn that into an absolute monster w/ the 100+k you'll save.

367 miles. I put that much on mine the first night I got it. It is brand new 70k off Msrp. That's a close to 2k per mile Dep. Glad I didn't take the hit.

I got bad news. Don't know about your dealer, but we have ordered our cars about 1-2 months ago. Dealers already know their allocations and have known. I don't know about your $100k, but we didn't put down a dime. We being myself and a good friend that are getting one. Mine is Guards, his is White. Loaded up. MSRP on them is $266k prox.

What the heck, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Right.

But really you had to give them a 100k.

1k held my gt3-rs for 10 months.

Oh well guess I'm out on this deal. Time to upgrade my GT3 or just move on to the next deal. I'll call the dealer in the morning and get to the bottom of this.

I looked. It was 1 month ago. Not 2. There have been some discussions about some options not available. Seemed odd. One was black wheels. I believe production starts in a month or less. I had to beg Germany for my buddy to get one. Keep your chin up. I hope you get one, and Fabryce can no doubt hook you up.
