Well talked to my local dealer today about the GT2RS deal. Not no but hell no. There rep tells them they don't have the proper sales of other models to get one.

On the good side I was offered a Sep. build for a 2011 GT3RS. That's cool. I did say I would pull the trigger on a GT3RS if I could get it. I would love the spec one out for a NASA TT track car. Something like A/C and radio delete, radio delete, carbon brakes, ect. All business. Hell I could get a GT3RS, new Dually, 40' trailer, trick them all out and still have money left over compared to a GT2RS.

I think if I got a GT2RS I would not be able to track/race it because of the money and being rare. I want something I can race and not stress to bad.

You could not have said it better. I'm worrying about that now. I've got the RS and the 40 ft trailer and it's great right now. Do it.

LOL, because the GT3RS is subdued and inconspicuous

Compared to the GT, it certainly is.

It's too bad your dealer didn't point you to one who could get a GT2RS for you. Having said that, I have seen dealers qualify customers for special cars based on what they've bought in the past from them. It could be a unicorn, who knows?

So if you want it why don't you find a dealer who can get you one? i'm sure they'd be willing to take 100k deposit

i think the 2 rs will take the biggest depreciation hit of all the gt cars. i just dont see a market for a $300k 911. i love my .1gt3 for $100k and i understand a .2rs for $150k but for double that im going scuderia or 3rs and 360 challenge, ruf v8....

I think it will depreciate but not as much as you think..

I mean after all if Lexus can sell a $380k LFA a $300k Gt2RS sounds like a bargain.. At least it has some pedigree

I agree, but Lexus is having big trouble selling the LFA. Major dealer in Dallas that is like "top 5" in US with 3 locations can only get 1 car sold in our metroplex, as opposed to about 5-7 people wanting a 2 RS.

So much for their "hand picking" prospective owners.
