Battery dying

Tried to start my 07 GT3 this am and all's I heard was the solenoid clicking. Recharged it, but thinking I should replace it. I have 20,000 miles on it and drive it monday thru friday, no tracking. Car is still under warranty, but I think that the battery is not covered because of its low miles.

The charger I used has choices of gel or standard? The battery is labled 999.611.070.00.

Being a DD is more important to me than light weight. Does anyone have any experience on a more hardy battery that will fit?

I got mine replaced under warranty. They told me 5K miles a year, and I was at 22K or something. On the other hand, if it took the recharge, you may be fine. Mine went flat a bunch of times if I forgot to turn of the radar detector, or if I left the key in the car. It is when it wouldn't hold a charge anymore that I got it replaced under warranty

I never use a trickle charger. I do have a regular charger if one of the batteries goes flat. When it went flat, it was always because of one of the above mentioned reasons. But I drive the car at least a couple of times a week, hence not trickle charger. (no winters in FL :-) )

Mine died after 2 years...Hopefully, you didn't trip a Airbag warning light which will have to be reset by the dealer and for a service charge. FWIW I replaced mine with an Interstate Battery (don't like how the German batteries die and dead failure mode...)
