Oh. Slaters Lane is in northern Alexandria just off the GW Parkway. I guess you and someone have the same taste in GT3s.
It's always good practice to install tow hooks during DE's and other track events, not to tempt fate, but rather to avoid damage to your car in the event of an on-track mishap where your car is rendered immobile. Many tracks are very fast when dispatching a tow vehicle to remove cars that cannot be driven off the track so that there's minimal downtime for other participants. Some crews pride themselves of this. Example: say you blow a coolant hose, run out of fuel, or whatever reason your car dies on track, and you don't have a tow hook installed, uh oh! The tow truck operator will hastily hook some other part of your car that may result in further damage to a body panel or what ever. Often, they will not wait for you to fumble around and find your tow hook because not only might you not be allowed to exit the vehicle, but they're usually instructed to remove the car ASAP at all costs, for safety, or per track rules.
