Brake Pedal Rattle 2010 GT3 Can't Locate

Hello all, been lurking way to long time to get involved.I have a very annoying brake pedal rattle that happens over rough roads or when the pedal is tapped. So far under warranty the dealer has replaced the relay switch that activates the brake lights and the rubber brake pedal pad. They also tightened up things in the area of the brake pedal. Doing all this did nothing as it still does it. The dealer is very willing to replace more items like the whole brake pedal assembly but I don't know if it's worth all the trouble. The car did not do it when new. It's a needle in a haystack anybody got any ideas? I'm stumped on this one.The car is so tight this noise stands out unfortunately.

just out of curiosity, do you happen to have fire extinguisher mounted on your seats? some FE mounts rattle and it's not obvious it's coming from the FE mounts 'cos it doesn't sound like it's coming from there but it does. ask me how i know!

Hello no fire extinguisher but the odd thing is I can make this happen when the car is stationary and not running just by tapping the brake pedal. I did notice when pumping the pedal the noise stops. I'm stumped on this one real tough to locate. I'm going to shove my head in that area of the pedals real close this weekend and see if I can locate it somehow.

I just bought a GT3 for tracking. Funny thing you bring this up. The previous owner of the car had a noise coming from down there just the same. Not sure it was brake noise or rattle. The dealer determined it was coming from the clutch, so Porsche allowed them to take most of that apart. Apparently it's a big labor deal just to jack with the clutch pedal. In the process, he decided to buy and install a lightweight flywheel in the deal, but they fixed the noise. No clue if yours is the same, but it's possible.

Looked very carefully today under the area where the brake pedal is. Pedal connects to an aluminum arm that can be rotated (which was lubricated with grease) that goes through the fire wall.It sounds to me like the noise is coming through the fire wall reverberating down the aluminum arm all the way to the bottom of the pedal. Anybody know what parts are located through the firewall? Any insight appreciated. Greg
