I see the opportunity to actually use it so limited that its pointless.
I suggest you actually try it before you bash it. I love mine and I'm extremely happy I got it. You _can_ lift the front while moving, as long as you are doing under 30mph. The hardest part about living with the lift is remembering to use the damn thing! Gotta push the button to lift it (duh!) and, here's the really hard part, gotta remember to push the button again before you turn off the car and walk away. I've left mine up so many times it's not funny. But... I'm finally getting the hang of it.

YMMV

I did...I opted out. I rather just replace my lip every few months. Its not a big deal. I'd being doing this with the lift anyhow...there is just no way it would help around LA.

I skipped this option also and I'm glad I did. You could buy close to 20 lips for the price of the lift. I barely scrapped once and it was a non event. I was going about 2 mph. You can not tell. The material is meant to take the scrapping. $3500 to add 16 lbs; I need to keep the weight down so that I can improve my lap times to the grocery store! And, I like my wallet heavier.

what would a salvage title 2010 be worth with a small interior fire. I mean very , very small,i'm thinking of bidding but not sure how high to go as i would probably have trouble reselling it. any advice would be helpfull.

I would guess that a salvage title would drop 30% from the retail price, conservatively. Probably more like 35-40%.
