Carrera GT Spoiler Problem

Not sure if anyone has encountered this problem, but this is the 2nd time this issue has occurred and this time, the warranty has expired.

Basically, when I hit 76mph, only one side of the spoiler will go up, and the other side stays down. I have to manually raise the spoiler by pressing the raise spoiler button so it will go up completely.

The dealer wants to charge a lot of the repair. I was wondering if someone has found a cheaper and easier fix for this.

Also, since the same issue had occurred previously and repaired under warranty, shouldn't the dealer honor the repair since it seems like the original problem was not properly dealt with?

Thanks.

If this issue has occurred previously, and was fixed under warranty... Then it sounds like it was not fixed correctly and could, and probably should still be under original warranty. I think at the very least the honourable thing for the dealer to do would be to make this right for a very valuable client. Or go to another dealer that may want your future business. I have bought 4 Porsches since 2008. I had a problem that one dealer wouldn't fix even though price wise wasn't a big deal and was actually under warranty. I told them it was a mistake on their part for not doing the right thing to rectify the issue. I bought my next Porsche from another dealer that has done tremendous above and beyond service for me. I always am friendly and courteous to service but you would expect the same back. I don't feel entilted but why do business in the future if they won't fix an issue that seems like it should be fixed. I know I have probably over answered the question but there are some great dealers out there that may go out of their way to help you and I would let them know that would go a long way to in you buying from them in the future. Sorry for the long winded answer! Good luck!
