I have a question, is the rear of a GT3 more fatter/wider than a regular C2/C4S?

The GT3 is narrow body. The GT3 RS has the same wider body as the C4/C4S. 44mm wider (22mm/side wider) than C2/C2S.

The Turbo has the same wider tub.The C2/C2S have the (44mm) narrower body - they fit better through the canyons.

I'm no expert but I thought I read here that the GT3 is a narrow body car just like a C2/C2S whereas the GT3 RS is a widebody like a Turbo... Not trying to add confusion just wondering about this myself.

 

The 997 GT3 is narrow body, same as the C2S.

The 997 GT3RS is wide body, same as the C4S.

As has been stated no/no, and as for your second question........no

 

The GT3 shares the narrow body with the Carrera and Carrera S models. The C4, 4s, GTS, Turbo, and RS models have the wider body. The wide body looks good, adds stability, and houses all wheel drive for some of the models.

Here is the rule:

all Turbo 911s (Turbo, GT2, GT2RS)
all AWD 911s (Turbo, C4, C4S)
all GT 911s with and S (GTS) or RS (GT3RS)

have a wider rear track (for better cornering).
