Anyone know whos GT3 this is? SCCA AUTOCROSS
I want to ask him about his wheels setup. Those are CCW Classic. I hear they run 18x12 on NB 996. I'd like to know if those are 18x12 and the offset. If you have any info please let me know thanks guys!

If the car is in Super Stock, the wheels have to be OEM sizes with a +/- of 6.35mm offset.

I did not run the car at the Nationals in 2009 or 2010, but will run it this year again. SS allows cat back exhaust (I run a Cargraphic), shocks (Moton), and any alignment, but pretty much everything else has to be stock spec. Those are CCW Classics in the stock sizes. I have however considered taking the car to a class that allows considerably more modifications (ASP), so I also would be very interested to hear backspace specs for a 18x12 rear that will clear everything......
Good eye - that is in fact my car, with the pic taken at the 2008 SCCA Solo National Championships held in Topeka Kansas. I managed to win the Super Stock class championship that year over 56 fellow SS competitors in Vipers, Corvette Z06's and Lotus Elises.

Do you have anymore pictures of your car with the CCW Classic? You can email it to me at sweat2breathe@yahoo.com. Thanks man!
Good thing I found you. I wanted to ask you about your CCW Classic. Because I talk to John (CCW) and said that 18x12 +63mm with 8.98" backspacing is used on GT3's alot. I'm interested in the wheels. But I have to call him back because it has a different fitting on regular 911, like mine. I would like to run 18x12 but will settle with 11 or 11.5. By the way since your CCW Classic has the stock specs, would that be 18x11?

Here is a better pic of the wheels:
Yes - because of the way shims are described in the shop manual, they are legal in SCCA stock class competition. Ironically, a subtle difference in the language used in the manual means rotating the strut tops is not legal in stock. Also not legal is the alternate adjustable control arm caster bushing that really should be used with the shims, so caster goes way up if you add much shim. The only real problem with that is reduced tire clearance in the front of the wheel well.
The V710 really only wants about -2.2 camber in front (Hoosiers need more), so you can get close to that in a GT3 without shims.
