Maybe a dumb question

When I come back from a normal drive & park in my garage, the car smells like burnt oil.
Is this normal??

I know that the smoking on start-up is normal.
TIA,
Mr. B

Are you sure it's not your brakes and/or clutch? Depending on your driveway characterstics you may be slipping your clutch to pull in the garage. My driveway is pretty steep and requires some first gear clutch feathering to get it in which in turn gets smelly in the garage.

It could be clutch or brakes like Jhall said..
I have been driving standard cars for years and i have never ever smelt the smell of what my car does and it's usually after driving fast for a while, does not smell like oil to me, i have a new clutch on mine since it was slipping when i bought it.

Mine smells like burnt rubber or something. I was told it was normal. Due to the exhaust being right behind the rear wheels rubber from the tires could be burnt on the hot exhaust. Sound logical to me...

It is normal Mr. B, all new Porsches do that, it is the cosmoline (or what ever it is called) that covers the engine and transmission cases; just enjoy the "new smell"
