I had a friend back home in Scotland that built a 2.2 Liter Lotus big valve twin cam engined old school Mini; stripped out and designed for Rallycross. The engine was blueprinted, lightened rods, cosworth pistons, high compression head, full radius valve job, ridiculously high lift cams, knife-edged crank, straight cut close-ratio gearbox, gear driven cams, etc, etc.

It had a locked front differential and when we got to drive it, I swear I couldn't stop laughing uncontrollably and screaming at the top of my lungs.. It was utterly uncontrollable and you had to have the arm strength of a freaking Silverback Gorilla just to keep the front wheels from pulling themselves straight whenever you got on the Gas in anything remotely resembling a corner. We figure it was putting out about 240 HP and it weighed aroung 850 lbs. Hysterically loony Car, insanity personified.. freaking LOVED it!!!

I also did the Audi advanced race driving school at Infineon where we got to thrash the living hell out of the Audi R8's and if we crashed them, we had zero liability. The R8 was a ton of fun, but I also got to drive their open wheel formula Cars.. Now THAT redefined my opinions about what a FAST Car is REALLY about on a track. My GT2 is incredible and really set up for the track, but it's 20 seconds a lap slower than the Formula Car at Infineon.

Wink Favorite cars driven

Owning various Porsches, my favorite has been the 2004 GT3 and the 2007 GT3RS; both fantastic and remind me of the track when driven.

If we're not restricted to street cars......it would have to be #1 my Swift DB1 Formula Ford, and #2 my Reynard Formula Continental. Hey, they're cars, right?

1st - SharkWerks ZKERMIT '07 997 GT3RS
2nd - AP1 S2000 (if only it wasn't 2800 lbs)

Close 3rd is my 2001 Honda Insight 5-speed. It just needs a turbo.

Never drove an Elise but I imagine I'd fall in love. My MR2 Spyder isn't quite there yet. The 996 3.9L GT3 at SW is a great start too.

Hehe! That's funny Danny Boy, if that's the same s2000 I had to drive I'm thinking you got it, the "kers" powered Insight and the 996-GT3-3.9 in the wrong order!! Glad to see kermit at the top!

The best car without a doubt has to be the Sinclair C5. Nothing comes close....

After that it'd be Kermit 3.9L 997 GT3RS (or Snowboarder's 997GT3 3.9 hehe!). Put me in any GT3 basically and I'm happy.

Then... hmm the CGT? None of the Lambos, Ford GTs, Ferraris ever did it for me sadly

race prepped E36 S54 M Coupe and my old S2000. two of the most underwhelming cars that i was amped to drive but were incredibly disappointing: AM DB9 and 996 GT3.
