Epic is the perfect word for this machine! It was love at first site for me, however, I seriously doubt my current occupation as a poor college student will let me have one of these.

I like the way you think.

That's the way this thing should have been designed. 4 liter street motor in a cup car, throw in regular transmission, dress up the interior some and sell it as a street legal cup essentially.

Yes. That is the exact recipe. The Cups look (and are) so much more aggressive. After hanging out with them on the track Tuesday I am convinced I must have one. The new RS just does not have that look. I'm sure it's a great car though. I actually know of someone that is taking a brand new 3.8 RS (since it is street legal) and turning it into a Cup Car for the street, air jacks, the full monty...it's only money, right?

completely agree with you. Why doesn't that person just buy a cup instead? they really need air jacks for a street car?

No idea what his thinking is. I guess he really wants to drive as close to a Cup as possible on the street. Basically, we're all nuts for doing and spending what we do on our cars so I'm not throwing rocks....lol

4.0 is 185k

ive known people who buy gt cars with no options and turn them into cup cars or try to come as close as possible. it is a costly and rewarding experience but you dont have to worry about hrs on the engine or tranny. therefore, no costly rebuilds
