that video is silly...just add an exhaust and you start putting buslengths on a stock car?? i doubt everybody i race after a aprakovic install will start and finish in 5th gear..lol

to be honest we didn't know what the out come would be. And we don't have easy access to dynos in Taiwan.

so we where curious on what would happen.

Akapovic does say

16.5 hp increase we have no idea if that is RWHP or what? I guess when the full headers system it does a make a difference. Also a key point is its 25.86kg lighter in weight! so that does make the power to weight ratio a lot better.

Talking Roflmao

Ok, now I presume both drivers are capable of the following:

1) equal driving skill (literally the exact same)
2) have telepathy so that they can both simultaneously hit the gas at the same time in complete syncopation
3) weigh the exact same

Ok, lets just saw I have this car, added an exhaust, and yes it breathes better and maybe is a little more responsive and certainly lighter, but WITHOUT a flash, the ECU adjusts for most of the above (excluding the weight) and primarily I have a lighter, potentially cooler running, MUCH louder car. But without a flash, I am not running away from other Gen 1 RS cars.

Love the Star Trek music though. Spok would dig this, was he driving the other RS?

Tongue in cheek....i get it you dont have a dyno, but come on, please be serious.

Well I don't know where you think I'm not serious.
that was the outcome we got and just wanted to share it.
its hard to find 2 of the same cars side by side and the other only has a full race system.
we pay too much for these car I sometimes do wish we can get porsches for they are sold in the States.

the GT3RS is sold for 300,000USD in Taiwan.

but thanks for the comments

What this video actually proves is that different drivers, different launches, and different driving styles can provide two different outcomes.

THERE IS NO hiding from the Taiwan taxes.

they get you the first time when the car is delivered and the rest is based on the displacement of the engine size.

example: a C63 has a big displacement so annually the plate tax is about $2900usd alone

like my M3 will run me about $1500USD/year just for the plates.

exhaust makes no different on a street car. 26 some hp you wont feel it and 50 lbs off the rear of a 3000+ lbs car, you wont feel it either. dont bother.

That car pulled away from the other one like it had 100hp more. There is no way that just an exhaust will make that much of a difference. In my old GT3 I was able to gain some pretty good hp with a full system including headers, but it was not more than 20hp (which for a N/A 3.6 GT3 is pretty good)

Next time switch drivers and see if you get the same results.
