I found that I needed to add a little padding to the back of the seat where it made contact with the roll bar. I only had to do this on the driver side. The passenger side was OK.

Very nice bar. I had one in my 10' GT3 and it was first rate. If you are tall there can be a slight rub on the bottom of the driver carbon seat. it was a minor problem and over all the bar was first rate in fit and finish. A minor tweak in the jig for the roll bar should fix the rubbing problem. But as I said, it is minor. I think the rub is from seat flex under heavy load when it is set back for taller drivers.

I do not know the answer to these questions, Dr. I would contact GMG directly.

Thanks!

How tall is tall? I'm 6'6" 245lbs in a 996 GT3 pretty comfortably, but a good bit of lean in the seat.

Not that tall. I'm 6'4" and about 235. I am also more torso tall not leg tall. I guess the rub is from slight flex in the seat under high G loads. Just a guess.

When are you going to make one that will fit a 997 cabriolet?

997 Cab is no problem we just need a car to do some measuring of the interior for clearance.

Great post. I see that you have the sport adaptive seats. Me too..., how much reclineability did you lose once u installed the bar? I'm 6'3 and I am concerned that the bar will interfere. I'll be changing to GT2's as soon as I find a good set but in the meantime.....? If you could post some interior pics or PM me them that would be great! Thx.

I kept the Sport Adaptive seats in there for a few weeks before I opted to to the GT2's (board sponsor Suncoast Parts). The GT2's gave me 6 point harnesses + HANS, and better seat comfort.

I had no issues with range of motion with the Sport Adaptive... but I'm only 5'10".
