Carrera GT Serial No. 916 Information
the car is not in that bad shape, it's got a bit of what appears to be accident damage and a straight chassis...if you sparingly use some filler after hammer/dolly to get the imperfections out, the rest is just blocking, primer, sand, color, topcoat, buff and the car looks perfect again!
It doesn't take a high end expensive body shop to do the above, a little shop which does good work at a fair price could do it...heck you could do all the prep yourself and have it primed then take it back for the re-sanding and top coat prep then drive it wherever you wanted to get it sprayed and polished/buffed for final finish...

Guys,
Thought I would shed a little light on how much these parts would cost to replace:
Front L/R fenter is sold as one peice - 27k
Drivers side door is - 26k
Drivers side sill - 14k
Driver mirror - 1400.00
I honestly would try the 30$ bondo route myself!

I am sure that the current owner picked up the car for "cheap" and is having some local "cheaper" labor do the repairs. I doubt that he will spend nearly $70K on it in parts, plus labor. I just wonder what happened to the car for it to be in such a shape.
At the gathering, everyone was in awe of it, and I feel it would have been rude of my part to question him on this..

pshh, that will all buff right out. who needs their half million dollar supercar looking brand new all the time anyway. at least we know that its been driven and not rotting in a garage somewhere
...there are ways to repair cf, including panels wet or dry formed with or without honeycomb cores...but they are expensive and ussually replaced unless minor cracking in a non structural or non safetey related area of the car (this is on race car panaling for the most part)
