Question Carrera GT Serial No. 916 Information

Does anyone know anything about this car? I saw it today and have some pictures of it. I was amazed in the horrible condition the car is The worst part of it all is that it seems that the car is being repaired poorly

If anyone has background information on this car, please share. Thank you in advance for your help.

This is NOT a joke. These are actual untouched images (just cropped) of the car as it sits today. You think the filler is bad?! Check out the mirror, the base of it, and the entire bottom of the car and part way up the rear fender! Right rear rim completely scratched up (curb rash). Note the front fender with tons of white paint too. This car must have been a complete wreck at some point in its life.

It's amazing how some people can have the money but no appreciation for such a masterpiece. A car that is an impossible dream for some is completely unappreciated and abused by others. Oh well. I guess if it's your money you can do whatever you want with it. It's just hard to watch.

The owner of this GT has a 997 GT3 (mint shape), and a brand new GT2 RS. Besides these cars, he also has a Testarrosa and a 512BBi that was sent to the factory for refurbishment. I heard he also has an old Lambo powered Minardi F1 car (ex Alonso). Some guys have all the luck?

That's pretty awesome, lucky guy. Glad to see he has good taste and DOES appreciate nice cars.

Honestly, we don't know the circumstances of why this car is in this shape. Maybe he was hit by another car, maybe he let a friend drive it, maybe it's the result of a Valet Parking Attendant. Who knows, maybe it was at a dealership and was hit by a mechanic pulling another car in. Maybe it was in a beautiful garage and a hurricane blew through and knocked crap off of shelves and onto the car as well as other damage not easily seen. We don't know, so to blame the previous owner is a bit presumptuous. In any case, I wish I had the car just for the sound of the engine alone. Heck, if the entire car was trash except for the seats and engine, I'd put the engine in my living room with the drivers seat just in front of it and rev the engine over and over while watching an in-car lap of the Nurburghring on my big screen tv with the sound turned off so it sounds like I'm driving the car around the 'ring...Hmmm...sounds like I forgot to open the windows and the exhaust is getting to me with an idea like that

you can't repair damaged carbon panels...$$$ repair. It probably doesn't have 'frame' damage per se, but the subframes might be toast. Either way, to properly fix, it is probably insanely expensive.
