I like to hear opinions on this, i plan on keeping the car for at least 5 years and tracking it is my primary purpose, i will drive from time to time around the house.. But for resale value and long term, how important are the DEM's? the front axle lift just makes sense but i want opinons
again it's a 2010 gt3
thanks guys

I wouldn't either are that important for resale. If anything I'd avoid the front end lift because of the weight and complexity.

The DEM are nice (sharper throttle response) and are designed to last the life of the vehicle.

You have to answer that yourself based on use. I don't think in 5 years anyone will pay more or less whether those options are there or not. I've never had anyone ask one way or the other when selling my GT3 or RS. They just wanted the car no matter what. Both are cool options, but I don't think weight of the lift matters unless you are needing less weight to win a race. Car will be fast around track no matter what.

DEM gives a sharper throttle response???

The front noselift is fairly useful especially if someone daily drives their car.

DEM does nothing for throttle response!

I believe these are an important option to have. It makes the entire experience, whether on the track or street, a better one. Basically close to solid mounts without the vibration. DEMs are yet another one of the many items which separate the .1 from the .2 GT3. The new 991 Carreras will have these as well.

Lift is a personal choice if you have a lot of sharp angles to deal with. I have found no need for one, nor has my friend with his RS.

I like the the Dynamic Engine mounts, but by the time you add all that to a GT3 with everything else, typically you're in the price range of an RS. That's why I'm looking for an RS now.

How do you figure? Not that you could spec a new one (GT3/RS) anyway. After adding DEM and Buckets to a GT3 there was still a delta of roughly $16K. Used ones are separated by close to that amount as well.

FWIW, I purchased a car without DEM but with the pigtails in place (so they could be retrofit if I chose to). I contacted two of most respected Porsche tuners in CA and both held the same opinion: that they were not a "must have" option. One opined that semi-solid mounts (like the Wevo's) could do the same job for 1/4 the price. For now, I am not retrofitting.
