997.2 GT3/basalt black arrived atlast...
Beautiful car!!! I love deviated stitching but have to say these sales people need to realize how to order it correctly. The stitching should be consistent down the PCM and through the gearshift and e-brake (exclusive options it's called, which most sales people fail to know) and continue on the doors. XDZ (stitched leather at the front of gearshift and base of PCM) should have been added as well with the appropriate stitching.

I was looking last year at a RS Orange PTS gt3 at P of Roslyn which had a similar mismatched interior stitching, but orange & light grey (default standard stitching color). These guys should know better since they order PTS all the time.
It is still a great interior! Enjoy it in good health. z356
aah I see... when I was shopping around, I saw couple of GT3s (black and red) with red deviated stitching all over and thought it was bit overwhelming. I personally thought dealer went bonkers with the "deviated stitching" option
imho, the part deviated stitch looks subtle and takes attention off of the seats and more to the dash.. Well, Looks like somehow someone's mistake suited my taste

I have a Basalt Black GT3 with PCCB as well with the deviating yellow stitching in the leather (Dash, doors, seats) and I really like it. After seeing the yellow guages that you have, I am jealous. Great looking car!!!!
I had a white 997.1 GT3 just before this one and I really liked the stock dials so much. I thought that leather interiors + yellow stitching especially on the dash will really go well with stock dial as the rpm markers are in yellow and caption is in white on the tacho.. so, I'd love to see the yellow stitching on the dash, doors and PCM panels -- do you any pics of the interior, like a panoramic view..

I didn't want to drive around and chip the bumper, I delivered it to my buddy's house in Dublin -- which was about an mile away from vince's place...
^ Agreed. I absolutely do not want to infer it was the OP's fault. The car is still very beautiful. I just get so frustrated with SOME of these sales "professionals" who don't know squat. Also, Porsche should have checks and balances in place at the factory. Anyway, still love the color combo! Congrats!

thanks. to be honest, I was skeptical about the yellow dial faces -- but when I see it as a whole, they are good.

I will get some pics of the car interior so you can see what it looks like. I haven't been good about taking pictures of my car, so I should get out and do it.
thanks.. we'll look forward to it..
More pics under my albums. Just go visit and you will see more. I would like to have the yellow dials to go with the yellow stitching. I think that would really make it all pop. Again, congrats on your great car.
