Experience with New Seats / Tires + Vid
This was my first event at Roebling Road since adding the GT2 bucket seats, harnesses, and R6's on Ultraleggeras. See my previous threads about the upgrades.
Let me preface that I'm far from an advanced driver and have a lot to learn still.
Between the seats holding me better, the harnesses holding me in place and new rubber, it's like a new experience altogether.
The seats were very comfortable. Held me in place very well and have no complaints at all. I'm 5' 10", 210 pounds.
The tires also helped a bit... Totally different feel from the Pirellis and I'm not even close to the point where I'm really taking advantage of them.
My lap time went down by 2 seconds from last month's DE.
I have a lot more to learn (video is great at pointing that our) and getting more seat time will help. Have my heel-toe down... now need to work on left foot break and trail braking. Had Kurt Gibson (past president of PCA National - great guy) as my instructor, so I was under a little pressure.

Here are a couple of videos - don't laugh.

thanks for posting track upgrades
Thanks for re-affirming the benefits of the upgrades!
Comments on you video:
Driving with a helmet visor in the "up" position in a car with airbags can lead to a neck injury should the airbag be activated straight-on into the wearers face. Either remove the full face visor, or driver with it closed down.
You have one of the greatest sounding cars on the planet. I did not continue to watch the video once I realized that the added music would continue once you got on track. I'd love to watch your track time if you had the video with only Porsche "music"!

And for 'Porsche music', go to 5:15 on the first video. No music from that point on. The sound comes from the RSS XPIPE.
Thanks for the heads up on the visor!
I should have given you the chance, by watching the whole vid. I'll do that now.
I just tried out my GoPro HD camera yesterday during a Coaches session at Sears Point (Infinion). The porsche music is very good!
