Any GT3 Daily Drivers in Dallas ?
So...after driving a Cayman for 5 years I took the plunge last week and bought a 2010 GT3 ...The car is absolutely awesome !!! Looking for other GT3 drivers in the Dallas area to learn from and drive with... Let me know if anyone is out there !!
I recently moved from Dallas. head out to the PCA DE events and you will meet a lot of guys both with and without GT3s that are well worth knowing. The maverick region has top notch instructors that will teach you how to get the most out of the car.
Southlake here.....
I don't DD mine, but I do drive it to wrok every once in a while when I need 6 speed therapy. Works great. I will be at the DE this month along with a bunch of others. Come on out.

There's a few of us around the Dallas area. Mine doesn't go to the office every day, but still gets plenty of street time.
As the others mentioned, head out to the DE at MSR later this month. There's still space available in most of the run groups if you want to join in the fun.

I've been daily driving mine for 8-9 months. Been out to MSR a handful of times. I might get a beater for the upcoming winter or just switch to the Michelin Supersport tires for my next set. I was stuck at home for 3 days when it snowed earlier this year
. I love driving the car everyday and can't stand driving a "normal" car or SUV/truck.

Kumar taking shots of the Porsche kool aid. I would have driven my GT3RS daily. I might have gotten a spare set of seats. It was fun to drive around the metroplex, the little bit I got to drive it.

I'm in the Dallas area as well.
There's no doubt that you'll learn more about how to drive your car the way Porsche intended at any of the many DE's available in this area. PCA also holds autocross/Timetrials in this area that are excellent at learning car control skills. You can wade in as gently as you like and move up your speeds and skills at your own pace.
Enjoy

Just moved to Dallas. Like others, I don't daily drive the GT3, but I'll take it to work 5-8 times per month. It's great on the track and that's the main reason I got it.
Will be at MSR in a couple weeks as well. Haven't been to the track since moving...I miss it.
I agree with ScooterP and we should get a contingent of GT3 guys in the DFW area together sometime.

Re-thread after long pause
.....So I originally started this thread ,,,,,,,and 1+ year later only regret I have with regard to my GT3 is not taking initiative to coordinate the meet and greet suggested,,,,anyone still interested ?
Where and when?
Recently became exposed to GT3 scene. I was at MSR in April for the first time. Signed up for DE at Eagles Ranch in June.
No GT3 here, but I'll be at Eagles Canyon in June. The weather last month at the MSR event was epic!!
Little windy but can't complain considering the alternative...90+ heat. WhiteRock, are you going to ER in June?
