Something that must be considered when looking at the 1/4 mi time is the gear ratios. The PDK ratios are much shorter and are going to offer better acceleration. Not all of the faster time in the 1/4 mi in the published numbers is a result of the PDK shifting more quickly...

Shorter ratios and launch control are never considered as the additional benefits included with PDK and DSG type transmissions when they provide bigger advantages than the shifts themselves.
