New RSS bits
I just received my RSS tarmac control arms and drop links to install on my 997 MK1 GT3 RS. What a quality product this is for starters. Amazing.
But i have a few doubts that i wish to clear first before assembling.
I have noticed that the RSS arms do not have a fixed position on the screw near the shims, so the arm can move backwards or forward, but i just don´t understand why is it like this. I say this because the control arm that comes from the front is not adjustable, it has a fixed position. I can understand that by going with the zinc-plated steel bushings around i can get different angles even with the fixed control arm but this will affect what kind of adjustments ?
Roll center and caster is my opinion, but i´m a bit nervous how to setup this zinc-plated steel bushings. Any expert opinion not to screw up my settings ??
Another question is about the RSS drop links. I can see that they are adjustable in length, but can someone explain if i choose a shorter or bigger length then OEM what should be the results ??
Another question from users that have these arms on their cars, how many shims did you use, or in mm. Any advice is appreciated.
Last question, what´s a good camber and toe settings for the front ?
Thanks for you help.
