In-car video of son's first autocross
Thanks for the awesome vid! That was such a great way to spend time together. For this day, his health issues completely disappeared and that's all any parent could wish for their child. Congratulations, I think you brightened all of our day!
++++1 more for AWESOME VID. Put a HUGE smile on my face as well. Thats how I feel inside after finishing session or on the way back home after a track day.
We are all just a bunch of little kids still (on the inside)!
Its great your event organizer allowed him to ride along.

I took my son to a local SCCA Autocross event for his first 'experience'. I'm not the smoothest nor am I the fastest (I've done it one other time in the past 8 years or so). But the expressions on his face are priceless and a memory that will last forever - both for him and for me.
To see his pure joy (maybe some nervousness) is a true gift. He's had some medical issues in the past and will have some challenges in the near future as well, so the more things like this he experiences, the happier it makes me.
He is sooooo hooked now. He stayed in for another 4 runs. Next time, I'm taking him to the local Kart track and give him a chance to drive by himself.

That is awesome. It made me so happy I was a bit emotional because I hope to be able to share something like that with my daughter some day (she is only 2 and a half now).
I really love the end where he says, 'I am not getting out of this car'. Smart kid when Dad has a sweet 911. Again, thank you for sharing such an amazing experience with your son. Not a lot of kids are that lucky.

+ rep. points for you (and ur son)!
