Photos of my 997.2 GT3

Purchased it a couple of days ago; enjoying every bit of it

Just need to figure out how to turn off the annoying overspeed alarm at 120kph!

A beauty!! Congrats!! These are just the best driver's cars aren't they? Picked up my .1 about a week ago as well.

If I understand the computer controls in these cars correctly, and assuming they didn't change much over the years, just use the computer input switch on the steering wheel (bottom-left stalk) to find the menu for setting the speed alert. I don't remember the navigation tree off the top of my head, but the menus are pretty simple. It is easy to find. Just uncheck the box on that option. (This all happens in the display in the gauge cluster, not on the NAV screen where one might assume all this would occur). Hope that helps.

thanks everyone.

Smoky, congrats on yours as well! Awesome vehicles indeed.
I found out the option in the centre gauge, but for some reason it doesn't make any difference whether it's actived, deactivated or set to any speed (both in 'current speed' and manual entry).. I looked this up in here, and found out that others have also had this in the Gulf region. Apparently, you need to take the vehicle to the Porsche workshop to activate normal control via lever behind steering wheel..

This might be too old school to work, but have you tried disconnecting the battery for a few hours, then reconnecting it to see if this resets everything to default?

No I haven't; but i received the car from Porsche workshop and was advised that the firmware had been updated.
Doesn't this automatically reset everything to default?

I highly doubt it would revert to the original firmware, rather it should just reset defaults for the current firmware loaded. But don't quote me on that. That's just how most other ECUs operate.
