Modified Roll bar @ PRS

Millenia Motors brought us a GT3 with an aftermarket roll/harness bar installed. The issue with the piece was that it didn't allow for full movement in the seat and further more when the seat was all the way back it was contacting the seat. The contact was causing some scuffing to the carbon seats and would most likely further erode that spot if left unattended. We got the rollbar modified and a track spec alignment done on the car for Winterfest this last weekend. The cage mounting points had to be modified along with the angle on the rear down-tubes to accomodate the shift rearward in the main hoop. Jess our fabricator is top notch! The cage is coming back out this week to be powder-coated a bright white to match the exterior of the car. Here are some pictures of the before, during and after...

Removal and Fitment stage:

Re-installation before powder-coating

Harness Question

Anyone have advice? six point harness or four point harness?

6-8 DE's a year. I like to Daily Drive as well, I have another vehicle but Drive my 911 quite a bit, I don't want to slap around the seat on the track. My Race buddies just have track cars and say six point, anyone run seats and harness that are adjustable? how does it feel on the track?

All advice appreciated

Per PCA regulations, a 4 point harness will not pass tech muster due to concerns that without the 5th or 6th belt, you can easily submarine out the bottom in an impact. A 5 point belt will prevent that but can have adverse effects on your family jewels should you put it to the test. Go with a 6 pt setup. Best,

Steamboat hit the nail on the head. 5 or 6 point is the recommended belt config for what you are using your car.

Nice job on the roll bar.

On the 6 point debate you might also consider a 7 point. I crash tested a Safety Solutions 7 point and ***** and the boys were fine.
