GT3 or TT, few questions........

Guys -

I've been a longtime reader of this forum and enjoy the information and options that you all share with one another. I'm currently an Audi guy, specifically, I own a 2001 Stage 3 twin-turbo S4, but I'm doing my research as I'm contemplating a switch.

For those that are familiar with the 2001 Audi s4, you'll know its a nose heavy pig of a car with tons of power (HP and TQ) and understeer to match; as such, I've grown very tired of having to drive the car extremely slow into each turn due to the understeer and would like a more race-inspired car. Mind you, I have upgraded coil-overs and anti-roll-bars on the Audi and it still behaves badly with turn and staying balanced, but its great for all-seasons. As such, it prompts my question above... What to look into, a Gen 1 or 2 997 GT3 or a TT.

My purpose of ownership will be to drive it on the weekends and out on the town with a few track-days (2 at most a season) in-between.

My concern is that coming from a car that has nearly 500+ hp and tq, will the lack of power (engine modifications) for the GT3 drive me crazy in the long-run? Has anyone else come from AWD high-power HP/TQ cars and acquired a GT3 only to be disapponted with its modibility (compared to the TT)?

I've driven both the GT3 and TT. The the GT3 feels nible and had a better driving experience, but do you guys who own one ever get the mod bug, and if so, what do you do? My buddy has a TT and his car is just amazing to drive, but it feels like my car's big brother (as he's kept his mainly stock for now) and has massive understeer.

Perhaps the late hours of the night are causing me to ramble, but I'm trying ot sort out of my questions in a coherent fashion. I know this topic has been beaten up all over the boards, but I have not come across any posts that ask the question from the standpoint of an owner coming from an AWD high power HP/TQ car and contemplating the decision that I am.

Thanks -

My guess is you'd like a Turbo more. No real point in a GT3 that gets tracked 2X per year. Turbo much more useful year round.
