I just cant justify risking 135k on the track where I can probably have just as much fun with a 50k car. The RS will be on ebay weeks end. I'll post a link. September looks good for me. See you then if not sooner at sebring.
It won't be as much fun.
Club race is more expensive then RS with track insurance.
Cheap cars are only cheap to buy, not cheap to run.
Add a full bolt in SC cage for safety..

I hear you. I also the believe that cars of today rs and the like have far to much electronics and assistance. Even with everything turned off which is how I drive the car there is still too much assistance. I think learning to drive an air cooled around the track fast will make a diffrence when making the switch. The truth is im getting bored of de's and my competitive nature is telling to start racing and there are for more cars in other classes. If I converted my rs into a full on race car it would be in the same class as a cup car which it couldn't keep up with. My plan is is to get an converted 964, 993, or 996 track car for a few years and when my skill level is up is move into a 997 cup. By then those ars will be priced just right. Thanks for all the advice.

One more thing. I took a few rides in air cooled race cars at roebling and they were fast and a lot fun. Namely a 993 cup. Sick ride!

Phil (Coco's hubby) has a orange 72 double flapper 911 that is an absolute hoot to ride in. Phil can drive the wheels off that thing!

Who put on that Instructor school? I'm upset I missed it.

Does anyone know of any upcoming instructor schools in the southeast region?

This past weekend I ran a high 1:19 lap at roebling in a 2007 GT3 (stock except for cup differential rebuild) with Michelin Pilot Super Sports street tires on it. I am proud of myself since I have been on track less than a year.

FL Crown region put it on. FL Citrus has already done theirs for the year at RRR, not sure when Darksides is but you may need to wait until early next year for another one at this track.

1:19 at RRR on PSS is moving, great time!

Thanks Wes, I'm happy with it. Although this weekend I'll be there with r-compounds and a new rear toe steer kit and fresh alignment.....hope to break it!

I was supposed to be going this weekend but schedule had a conflict. It's a great group of guys who have a ton of RRR experience, you're bound to drop some time for sure!
