My condolences to him and his family. He is a great guy and love all his funny comments about the Cayenne Turbo. He doesn't garage queen his baby too. RIP to him.

Ben died on the track with a fellow lover of car's Corey as his passenger. He was nearing a the end of a high speed straight away when another car was waived on to the track causing Ben to swerve to avoid the collision striking a concrete retaining wall head on. Corey died instanteously and Ben died as he was being flown to the hospital.

Ben loved this chat site and knowing him as well as I did, he would want you all to know what happened.

His wife Charlotte is holding up well and our pray's are with her.

As the night goes on, it is clear with all the post that have been added to Ryan's (shank) thread that our community has suffered a GREAT loss. Myself along with most or all the members of this board have either spoken with, PMed, emailed or read one of Ben's post. As I spoke with Darren tonight, he said it best "Ben was my 6speed hero" in regards to the first with the evo supercharger on his 911 and of course getting the CGT. This enabled us to live through him in a sense. Getting his thoughts and impressions etc....
Ben has and always will be a member of our family
My sincerest condolences to Ben, his family and the passenger
the 6speed community has lost a amazing contributor that help make this forum an interesting place.

Oh NO. What a great guy. And I keep thinking about the photos of his baby in his CGT. My oh my.

I can only say I am sure that he died doing what he loved to do - not many can say that.
