Is this metallic noise normal or no? (997 GT3)

Overlake is infamous around these parts
Is this metallic noise normal or no? (997 GT3)


I have the GMG bypass on it now, but it made the noise with the stock center muffler as well. It only makes the noise when the car's been driven for a while (i.e. fully warmed up).

That sounds terrible. I think you have an exhaust leak somewhere.

My guess would be either exhaust leak or rattle. Check the heat shielding around the bumper as it may have gotten bent when the GMG bypass was installed.

Sounds like part exhaust leak and part mechanical rattle (shielding?). Take it to MU, (or number of good shops in Seattle) have them get it on the lift and take a look at it.

my indy suspects that it's the vacuum flap and that it is not an engine noise. when you push the sport button on/off, you'll hear this clink as the vacuum actuates.
