'10 GT3 at in Scottsdale with crash history?

Beautiful GT3, Atlas Gray, 10k miles, GMG Exhaust, apparently taken in on trade. Carfax says "rear" crash (Note this was not passed on by the dealers; discovered after some investigating on my own). Story I'm told was that someone hit the rear quarter panel at low speeds. I can see a very miniscule paint imperfection in the clearcoat of the rear bumper cover. Dealer (now) says rear cap, drivers rear quarter and wheel were replaced. No issue with suspension/ brakes, engine.

Test drive was superb.

My biggest concern is taking a bath on it when I would retire it in the future. At what price does supposed-slight damage, car fax-branded, look desirable?

Anyone know the history of this car and if the dealers' story in accurate?

If they lied about something that shows up on Carfax, what else did they, could they lie about. That would be my biggest worry.

Significant IMHO. There are a decent number of no-stories cars out there. Not only will there be a resale hit but you will also have a reduced potential customer base who will be interested in a car with an accident history. Even if you go through the trouble of fully documenting it, many will still be scared away.

I called the dealer and they we're upfront disclosing the carfax damage report. The story was in-line with what they told you in person. The car looks nice, just see what the bottom line is on it as the accident report will obviously haunt the car's future re-sale value.

IMO... If its ur dream car.. And u really want it... Let alone ur getting a good deal on it... Buy it... But remember.. If ur not gonna keep it n try n flip it.. A lot of us will not buy it..
It is what it is.. And we are very picky about our cars.. We are Porsche owners.. We are educated, savvy, some **** ( not me.. I'm laid back)... But if I was you.. I would want a very good price up front... But then again wtf do I know... I'm sleeping on the couch tonight kuz I said the wrong thing to the wife... I mean seriously... The election's over right? I lost on all fronts... Somebody please raise my gd taxes...I got money to burn...

I would pass, this will always be on your mind no matter how well they fixed the damage.

If you can't resist, I would expect to pay the appropriate discounted rate due to damage. This in turn should give you an idea of the same discount % plus normal depreciation you'll pass on to the next person.

I would pass. I used to do bodywork. Down the road, other issues may pop up. Usually electrical. And for some reason, the cars in hard hit collisions never get that new feeling again or the same feeling as they had before the accident.
Some cars to me felt like the steeling wheel was bent. when they weren't. Just a used and abused feeling (hard to explain). Stay far away, the $$$$ you will save upfront to get in the car of your dreams will hurt you in the end and may even cost more with the unexpected (hidden) damage.

Good luck in the search. All good things come to those who wait.

If the price is right, and appropriate for the history, you could get into an otherwise perfect car. Get a pre-purchase inspection and make them an adjusted offer.
