looking for a good exhaust system
looking for a good exhaust system
I've been looking around at all different kinds of exhaust set ups. and I'm just wondering if anyone can give a little input.
I like the AWE set up because of the headers and TQ that is provides. Also it seems to be quite enough.
other the other hand is see most of the other companies which makes exhaust systems for the Gt3 all decided to go with a short header set up.
very hard to make my mind up on this one

Eugene, we offer M&M exhausts from Germany. Extensive tests and Motorsport proven for years.
Also power gains proved on dyno same day same car.
We have different options for different needs. Titanium, steel, cats, no cats etc.

I also have sound clips, dyno pulls. This comparison chart is between a 2011 GT3RS that previously had a early 997 CUP system (headers and exhaust)
All available at our website.
Thank you.

Eugene,
This is the dyno from the complete system without cats.
I'll post the dyno from the exhaust only, keeping the stock headers on a 3.8RS and also on a 4.0 RS.
Here is a start up clip from one of my client's car (997 GT3RS - 3.6)
This car has stock headers and our side muffler delete exhaust.
Dyno sheets:
2010 GT3RS 3.8 bone stock vs our stainless steel side muffler delete system. Same day using dynojet so no numbers can be fabricated

2011 GT3 RS 4.0 - Stock vs our side muffler delete system

Here are the videos of both on the dyno.
GT3 RS 4.0
Please feel free to contact me in case you have any questions.
Regards,
Eddie.

Do you have a full system with 200 cel cat dyno # ?
Unfortunately I don't but the dyno numbers above are with stock headers, so you can see that is performance gains on the mufflers alone, although the gains would be smaller in a 3.6 engine
Sent you a PM.

That's my 4.0 in the video.
Swapped the exhaust while the car remained strapped in on the Dyno!
No ther mods, no ecu, no nothing. Just M&M final exhaust with side muffler delete pipes.
No drone, sounds just right, I have plenty of videos if you click on my signature.
I'm waiting for the Ti upgrade, all the same goodness and 11lbs less I believe..

Is there any reason why you did go with the full system?
It's great for my mixed daily driving and 40 or so track days per year ;-)
I don't want to have to reflash or change headers for warranty work and the car seems fast enough as it is.
Headers and tuning would make another big step, I think. 3.8's with headers and tune make 445HP to the wheels. Only 30 less then mine.
My car only has LSD, cat back exhaust and roll bar and seat belts. Otherwise stock.

+1 for Eddie and RPW. That is my car in the 3.6 video. Great sound, drops lots of weight, creates a clean engine allowing you to access the plugs, and is at the right price. The beauty of this system is you can go with side deletes and center now, and if you desire you can upgrade to headers with or without cats at a later date.
Who makes a good tune? Cat less or with 200 cel tunes?
