New GT3 RS Campaign

Brought my 2010 in this morning . The dealership said that Porsche wanted a factory tech there to inspect the work and take pictures.
It has something to do with the intake and a piece that could break off.
Anyone else get this done?

Is this for 2010 only. Link didn't work for me. Or are other years covered?

Not just for 2010, also applies to 2011. I have an 11 RS and I just got the work done. Porsche says will take 2.5 hours, ended up taking much longer than that.

It's been reported that they have to lower the engine 4cm to replace the part!

I was told they will need my car for 5 days to complete this recall!

I get a service loaner for the entire time but I'm still shocked about the duration. I will have extra work done while it's there, but sheesh.

seen quite a few 2010-2011 at the local dealer service area. I think they are super busy and gettine backlogged with this especially since they have to lower the engine to do the service campaign for the air intakes.

I booked the actual service today and the story did change slightly since the dealership finally gave me a service adviser to speak with. He told me that some of that original week estimate was related to getting the part, so the 5 days was more in reference to the time from the first inspection to getting the car completely fixed. As I'm having a service performed while they have the car, it shouldn't be too bad. Thanks!
